AvHopper was my first ever project. I started my career in aviation; I wanted to create a product that allowed pilots to find the cheapest possible fuel price. With the help of a colleague we were able to source the data and make it available to pilots both via a web interface and WhatsApp.

My Responsibilities

Everything tech and product related. I had help from another colleague who helped me source the fuel data. I eventually sold him the product.

Every tech journey begins with that pivotal first project, where mistakes are made, lessons are learned, and growth takes root. Mine was no exception. I made every mistake in the book with AvHopper, both technically and business-wise. In the end I learned to love the important things about product development: reliability, clear communication, and a good business case.
